According to Jin Ten, Fed's Goolsbee hinted that he is uneasy about the possibility of another rate cut at the December meeting. He stated that the decline in inflation "seems to have stalled" and warned that it could go in the wrong direction. An increasing number of policymakers are concerned about cutting rates too much while inflation remains high. The consumer price index rose by 3% in September, still above the Fed's 2% target. Goolsbee pointed out that despite a strong economy, there is unease about significantly cutting rates too early.
