According to Cointelegraph, Kraken co-CEO Arjun Sethi criticized the UK's cryptocurrency regulatory requirements during an interview with the Financial Times, stating that mandatory disclaimers and "cooling-off periods" severely impact user experience and may cause investors to miss out on potential gains.
Despite regulatory friction, the UK is gradually opening up to the crypto industry and seeking closer cooperation with the US. Former UK MP Lisa Cameron revealed that the UK and the US may be developing a joint "sandbox" project to coordinate the two countries' crypto markets. Additionally, the Bank of England recently released a consultation document on the regulatory framework for "systemically important stablecoins," indicating that it is actively advancing legislative work in the field of crypto payments.
