The established asset management company T. Rowe Price plans to launch a cryptocurrency ETF that will adopt an active management strategy

ChainCatcher news, the veteran asset management company T. Rowe Price has submitted an S-1 application to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, intending to launch its first crypto ETF. The company currently manages $1.77 trillion in assets.

According to the disclosure materials released on Wednesday, the product named "T. Rowe Price Active Crypto ETF" will adopt an active management strategy, aiming to outperform the FTSE Crypto US Listed Index, which tracks the performance of the top ten cryptocurrencies listed in the U.S., over a period of one year or longer. The documents indicate that the fund will invest in "qualified" cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Cardano, Avalanche, Litecoin, Polkadot, Dogecoin, HBAR, Bitcoin Cash, Chainlink, Lumen, and Shiba Inu.
