Previously, he worked at the National Institute of Aging Research (NIH/NIA/IRP) under the guidance of Dr. David M. Wilson III and Dr. Vilhelm Bohr, focusing on repairing endogenous DNA damage, especially in the context of aging. Additionally, Tyler co-founded VitaDAO and bio.xyz.
