Katie Biber
Katie Biber is the Chief Legal Officer at Paradigm, leading the firm's legal, regulatory, compliance and policy functions. Previously, she was Chief Legal Officer of Brex, a fintech startup reimagining financial systems for growing companies. Before Brex, Katie was General Counsel of Anchorage, a digital asset bank and platform, and she has also held leadership roles as General Counsel of Thumbtack and Senior Counsel at Airbnb. Additionally, Katie serves on the boards of directors of Anchorage, Code for America and Protocol Labs. Prior to that, Michael made miracles happen as a Senior Developer at PlutoTV, where he co–developed some of their key technologies responsible for bringing live TV experiences to the web. Frank Chaparro leads editorial efforts for The Block, the go-to source of trustworthy information and news on cryptocurrency, blockchain, and decentralized technologies, as its senior correspondent. Chaparro started his career at Business Insider, where he specialized in the intersection of digital assets and Wall Street, market structure, and financial technology. He has received numerous accolades for his work and maintained the position as one of the most well-read fintech reporter through his time there, breaking stories on firms such as Fidelity, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, and Nasdaq. Soon after joining Business Insider out of Fordham University, Chaparro was interviewing top finance and tech executives, including billionaire Mark Cuban, “Flash Boys” star Brad Katsuyama, Cboe Global Markets CEO Ed Tilly, and New York Stock Exchange President Tom Farley. Yoann Turpin
Yoann Turpin is Co-Founder & Head Of Business Development at Wintermute. After more than a decade in trading, investing, advising startups and building a few businesses, I decided to join Evgeny and Harro to co-found Wintermute Trading, an algorithmic liquidity provider in the crypto space. We are now 3 years old , have 15 staff, 3 investment rounds under our belts - proudly backed by Lightspeed, Blockchain.com and a cool bunch of angels. We are very much striving for a culture of excellence and fair practices in this maturing space. I currently lead our business development, focused on maximising our access to flow and always trying to add value to anyone I interact with. In general, I am passionate about entrepreneurship, technology and finance and have invested in a good few start-ups (near 30 directly and 60 indirectly).

Justin Slaughter is the Policy Director at Paradigm. Prior to joining Paradigm, he was the Director of the office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs and Senior Advisor to Acting Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Allison Herren Lee. Justin also served as Chief Policy Advisor and Special Counsel to former Commissioner Sharon Bowen at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and General Counsel to Senator Edward J. Markey. He has also worked as a consultant in private practice, focusing on fintech and smaller technology companies. To begin his career, Justin was a law clerk to Judge Jerome Farris on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He holds a B.A. from Columbia University and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
