Justin Slaughter

Justin Slaughter is the Policy Director at Paradigm. Prior to joining Paradigm, he was the Director of the office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs and Senior Advisor to Acting Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Allison Herren Lee. Justin also served as Chief Policy Advisor and Special Counsel to former Commissioner Sharon Bowen at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and General Counsel to Senator Edward J. Markey. He has also worked as a consultant in private practice, focusing on fintech and smaller technology companies. To begin his career, Justin was a law clerk to Judge Jerome Farris on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He holds a B.A. from Columbia University and a J.D. from Yale Law School.

Storm Slivkoff

Prior to Paradigm, Storm was a data specialist at Fei Labs. He earned his PhD from UC Berkeley doing neuroscience research.

Ricardo de Arruda

Ricardo de Arruda is a Research Partner at Paradigm. Previously, he was a data scientist and engineer at Allium, focused on blockchain data infrastructure, token incentive design, and detecting inorganic activity. Before that, Ricardo was a quantitative developer at macro-focused investment funds. He studied computer engineering and economics before dropping out of university.

Matt Huang

Matt Huang is the co-founder and managing partner of Paradigm, CEO of Tempo, and a member of the Stripe board of directors. Previously, Matt was a partner at Sequoia Capital, focusing on early-stage venture capital, including leading the firm's cryptocurrency efforts. Matt was the founder and CEO of Hotspots, which was acquired by Twitter in 2012. He is also an angel investor in companies such as ByteDance and Instacart. He purchased his first Bitcoin from MtGox in 2012. Matt holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from MIT.
